Wouldn’t that be an fantastic trip? Now imagine you could go visit the far future. See what happens to mankind. Witness the creation of AI. Watch Dyson spheres around the Earth.
There are countless people who ask: is time travel possible? Despite the fact there are plenty of time travel theories, no one truly knows. The fact is, we don’t see around an endless supply of time travelers from the future (which should be the case if time travel were possible, no?). Or maybe they are here, but are just hiding…
Since we don’t have time travel machines, for now, we have to stick to fiction. As a result, time travel movies are a very popular sub-genre of sci-fi. Just visit IMDB and you’ll see that so many movies with a time travel element have been phenomenally successful: the Back to the Future trilogy, The Butterfly Effect, Prime, Donnie Darko, The Terminator Series and countless others.
As one who finds the notion of time travel appealing and wishes he could journey back and forth in time (with or without a Delorean), I don’t know whether this will ever be possible. But at least until then we’ll have a lot of fun watching movies and reading books!
